She was welcomed by Venezuela’s ambassador to India, Capaya Rodriguez, along with local authorities, in a gesture that reaffirms the diplomatic ties between both nations.
In addition to participating in the event, the Venezuelan vice president is scheduled to meet with representatives of the Indian government to discuss bilateral cooperation.
New Delhi and Caracas have maintained strong ties based on mutual solidarity and shared positions on political and economic issues at the international level. This relationship has facilitated the development of strategic agreements in various sectors, particularly in energy.
India Energy Week will bring together delegations from at least 120 countries to discuss the main challenges facing the sector and promote sustainable solutions. The event will showcase technological innovations and decarbonization strategies aligned with global energy goals.
Despite U.S. sanctions imposed against the Bolivarian Revolution, Venezuela has remained a strategic global supplier of energy resources. In this context, Rodriguez will share Venezuela’s experience in overcoming these sanctions and its commitment to building a resilient and self-sustaining economy.
The event in India represents an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation in the energy sector and open new investment opportunities at a time when market diversification and the development of clean energy are essential for the industry’s future.
